Vacancy: Production Operator – Bury St Edmunds

We are a successful independent data-driven marketing, direct mail and ecommerce company, with more than 25 years’ experience delivering business solutions to an extensive client base, including some well-known household names. We now have a vacancy for a Production Operator at our carbon-neutral headquarters in Bury St Edmunds, working as a key member of our mail enclosing and product fulfilment team.

About your work day:

• Completing our client’s mail and product fulfilment campaigns, both on machine enclosing lines and by hand
• Enclosing letters, brochures and promotional materials to envelopes, bags and boxes
• Processing and packing shipments of client goods and materials
• General production and other relevant duties
• Handling products in line with Standard Operating Procedures and client requirements
• Following quality control processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client campaigns
• The safe movement of goods and materials, including manual handling
• Following Housekeeping rules to ensure cleanliness throughout our production environments

About you:

• Previous experience in a similar production environment is highly desirable
• Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Work well as part of a team
• Able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device
• Able to carry out moderately physical tasks including light lifting and operating machinery

Hours are 8:30-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30-4:30pm on Friday, with some flexibility to work occasionally outside these hours in order to meet client/customer needs. References will be required.
